Present Progressive
(Present Continuous Tense)

เหตุการณ์ที่กำลังเกิดขึ้น

โครงสร้าง

Subject + am, is, are + Verb-ing

                                  ประธาน + am, is, are + กริยาช่อง 1 เติม -ing

Present Progressive จะต้องมี Verb to be - am, is, are นำหน้ากริยาที่เติม ing เสมอ เช่น

• I am working. ฉันกำลังทำงาน
• We are working. พวกเรากำลังทำงาน
• He is working.  เขา (ผู้ชาย) กำลังทำงาน
• She is working. เธอ (ผู้หญิง) กำลังทำงาน

Question with What

    What are you doing?
     คุณกำลังทำอะไรอยู่

Affirmative   I'm working.    
บอกเล่า             ฉันกำลังทำงาน  

Negative       I'm not working.
ปฏิเสธ              ฉันไม่ได้กำลังทำงาน

     What are they doing?

     พวกเขากำลังทำอะไร

Affirmative   They're working.   

  

Negative       They're not working.

      What is he doing?

      เขากำลังทำอะไร

Affirmative   He's working.  

 

Negative       He's not working.

       What is she doing?

     เธอ (ผู้หญิง) กำลังทำอะไร

Affirmative   She's working.   

Negative       She's not working.

Question (คำถาม)              Short Answer (คำตอบ)

Are you working?                 Yes, I am.  / No. I am not.

คุณกำลังทำงานอยู่ใช่ไหม     

Are they working?                Yes, they are. / No, they aren't.

    

Is he working?                       Yes, he is. / No, he isn't.

Is she working?                      Yes, she is. / No, she isn't.
